Jake Dailey, who served as a combat medic in Iraq and currently lives in Olympia, WA, graced us with his presence to talk about his time in Iraq, the cost of war, the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, the similarities between our current moment with the Israeli/US attacks on Iran and the selling of the war in Iraq, what kinds of actions we should be taking to be effective (even if they make us uncomfortable), the climate crisis, how very small the ruling elite really are, and Jake’s revolutionary back-to-the-land vision with his Civilian Conservation Corp-inspired business, Rake Force.
