Jill Carnegie, the grand grand grand niece of Andrew Carnegie, came to NYC at 18 years old. Without a college education, she became a linchpin in the vegan and animal rights communities in NYC as an activist, organizer, and entrepreneur. She founded the largest social group for vegans in NYC called VoNY. She's part of a vegan cheese startup called Numu. She works with NY CLASS to support the horses being exploited in Central Park. And she directs campaigns for chickens for United Poultry Concerns.
