- Wildfires in Canada turn skies in NYC orange and send a thick smoke cloud to travel across the United States. We discuss the implication of this first draft at a day of dystopia and what a throwback to 2020 it is.
- We gossip about the spiciest event in the climbing community involving a Malaysian man nearly freezing to death on Everest, being rescused by a Sherpa, and then blocking said Sherpa on all social media.
- It’s an old article (2019), but thanks to a recent viral Tiktok, an LA Times article about Vietnam War veterans moving to Vietnam is back in the forefront of culture.
- An ex-NYPD cop/detective is charged with helping robbers specifically target Asian American families and businesses. Law and Order: Hate Crime just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
- And lastly, TikTok blows up over a graduation stole. Mainland Filipinos accuse the diaspora of wearing culture as an aesthetic, Filipino diaspora accuse native Filipinos of not knowing what it’s like to grow up in a Western society.
