While the ins and outs of tax-policy can get rather thorny, one thing that is reasonably straightforward is that for far too long, the system of taxation in the United States has been grossly unfair to the health of this country.  While it is not the intent of this discussion to climb into the weeds and put the listener to sleep, I do make an attempt here to get people to realize and understand that simply arguing over marginal individual tax rates is truly missing the forest for the trees.
