Recently, I was a guest speaker at a NZ Sign-writers regional meeting. Sign-writers are not plentiful and when a vacancy occurs many of these small to medium sized businesses struggled to get suitable candidates.
Several business owners reported getting a good level of applications but most were totally un-qualified. They couldn’t understand why a person would apply if they did not meet the basic requirements for the job. There could be several explanations here, but when I found out they were advertising on Seek, the penny dropped.
