State prosecutors in South Carolina slammed home another case against Alex Murdaugh and this time it was for his financial crimes. When all of the dust settled and all of the testimony was given, the Judge handed out at 27 year sentence for Murdaugh, pretty much ensuring that he will die in prison, no matter what happens with his appeal of the murder charges.
The proceedings saw multiple victims and victims families give testimony to how Murdaugh had ruined their lives and how his behavior has caused them harm both financially and mentally throughout the years.
Murdaugh's appeal of the murder charges is pending.
