Once upon a time, Riley Moore had a dream and a plan--a dream that included a girl named Lexie and a plan to take over the family business. But life threw Riley a curveball, and both his dream and plan veered off course.
Lexie Pierce was in love with her best friend, Riley. Growing up together, they shared many firsts. Young love turned into adult love, and the couple made plans for their future. But when tragedy struck Lexiâs family, the plans they made were put on hold. In the aftermath, depression took hold of Lexie, and her relationship with Riley became extremely strained.
Time and distance did little to help their situation, and despite their love for one another, Lexie continued to push Riley away. Eventually, Riley listened and stayed away for good, breaking his own heart in the process. Riley engaged in a regime of partying and random women in an attempt to ease his aching heart. But the hole that Lexie left behind, could never quite be filled.
Years passed and Riley convinced himself that he had finally moved on. He owned a small but thriving auto shop business, and women were never in short supply. Yet, on the occasional visit home, Riley and Lexie found themselves back in each otherâs arms. But when the light of day broke through, and the sexual frenzy abated, Lexie would once again shut down.
