It was a true honor to talk to someone I look up to and genuinely respect.When I started this podcast titled ‘authentically’ after seeing the ins and outs of what is talked about inside newsrooms and from my experience in the field, I knew there needed to be a space for something more than just soundbites and click-bait headlines in this day and age of news (opinion talking heads) swirling left and right on a pandemic, social justice, and your local stories. When I first started this, one of the first dudes that came to mind whom I thought would be perfect for this show…he was none other than this man. A man of God, a man well-respected in the music industry as a hip hop and spoken word artist, a man who has lived out fighting for social justice before it was trending as a change agent and activist. He’s a husband, a father, and a coffee curator. What more could you ask for in a podcast where I aim to keep it real, talk about being a good husband and family man, actual good coffee (the real ones know what I’m talking about), sports, and…Jesus. Because this show is dedicated to Christ. And no matter where you are in your life, it’s my hope that you are encouraged by this talk.
