Within the hour the hiring of Brian O'Connor as next Diamond Dog skipper was official, confirming our reporting on GenesPage.com. The 2015 National Champion coach of Virginia is only the 5th College World Series winner to take another head coaching job in college baseball. His hiring beat the opening of the spring transfer window by hours and recruiting is O'Connor's immediate priority along with finalizing his assistant staff.
