University of Delaware student, Luqmaan Khan, arrested with weapons cache, including body armor and a notebook detailing an alleged plot to attack campus police. Khan, a twenty-five-year-old Afghan-American, was found in his truck inside a closed public park, refusing to speak with officers. Authorities discovered a handgun, multiple magazines, body armor, and equipment to convert the handgun into a semi-automatic rifle. The notebook contained disturbing language and plans for attacking campus police. Khan later admitted believing achieving martyrdom was one of the greatest things you can do. Additional weapons were found at his residence, including an AR-style rifle, another pistol, extended magazines, and body armor. Khan remains in federal custody, charged with illegal possession of a machine gun.
