I want to remind you today that every breath we have is a gift, it’s not a guarantee. As the old hymn says, “Oh for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise,” but even ten thousand tongues wouldn’t be enough. 

God has shown mercy, He’s forgiven our sin, and He’s given us strength even in our darkest hours. I urge you today, press on, press through, hold tightly to the hand of God, because difficult days are coming. 

Storms will shake everything that’s built on pride, comfort, and human wisdom. But if your life is built on the rock, Jesus Christ, you will stand. The wind may howl, the rain may pour, but your house won’t fall. 

It’s not because of you or me, it’s because of Jesus Christ and His life within us. Take time today to thank God for your life, and ask Him one simple question: Am I building on the rock?
