“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We are not ashamed of the testimony of Christ, for it is the only testimony that will endure. 

Everything else, the city of New York, Wall Street, the towers of wealth and pride will vanish one day like a sandcastle in the tide. But what is built on Christ will remain. The shaking has begun, and more is coming. 

Yet by the grace of God, you and I will stand. And when the dust settles, there will be a shout of praise in our hearts. We’ll be saying, Thank You, Jesus. It will not be fear, not despair, but only praise. 

Take five minutes today and say it out loud: I will not fear. I will stand. No matter what happens, thank You, Jesus, for Your promise to keep me.
