Josh Seim is an assistant professor of Sociology at the University of Southern California. He is broadly interested in the governance of poverty and suffering, which has thus led him into the sociologies of medicine, punishment, and labour. His work has appeared in American Sociological Review, Sociological Methods and ResearchPunishment and Society, Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences, and Teaching Sociology, among other outlets.
