New Penalties and Procedures for Landlords

In this podcast, I talk to John about the new procedures which are coming into force on 6 April 2017 –

• Local Authority Civil Penalties and


• Rent Repayment Orders

These will prove extremely expensive for landlords unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end.  In this podcast John discusses the detail and we consider some of the surrounding issues.  In particular the fact that as Local Authorities will be entitled to keep the fines, this will help fund more enforcement action.
