Description
Archer Aviation, known for its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, saw its shares rise after partnering with Anduril, an AI defense firm. The deal involves Archer supplying its powertrain technology to Anduril for their Omen Autonomous Air Vehicle system. The UAE government has committed to purchasing fifty of these drones. This is Archers first licensing agreement and they plan to explore more such deals. Archers Midnight electric flying taxi is also making progress, with test flights in the UAE and plans for commercial operation in Abu Dhabi. Archer has also secured agreements with Korean Air and cities in Japan. This partnership adds credibility to Andurils drone-based defense systems.
