The Big 12 will cover in plenty of games this upcoming weekend in college football. BYU is set to face Stanford in what is shaping up to be a one-sided affair, with the Cougars having all the ingredients for a blowout victory. Stanford, under new head coach Frank Reich, is in a state of transition and has already shown significant vulnerabilities in their season-opening loss to Hawaii. Meanwhile, BYU is coming off a dominant 69-0 rout of Portland State, a performance that highlighted their strengths and a clear advantage in this upcoming matchup. The most significant factor in this game will be the battle in the trenches. BYU's offensive line, which is one of the most experienced in the Big 12, should have a field day against Stanford's defensive front. In their first game, the Cougars ran for 468 yards, a testament to their powerful ground game. This will be a stark contrast to Stanford, whose defense gave up a high number of rushing yards and struggled to generate pressure against Hawaii. Look for BYU to establish the run game early and often, wearing down the Cardinal's defense and opening up opportunities for their true freshman quarterback, Bear Bachmeier.
