Update: 2025-09-04
Description
John Canzano is in talking about college football and what some of his dream match-ups would be. Canzano has dream match-ups for Oregon and Oregon State, and if some of those match-ups could become reality in the new world of college football. Later, Canzano talks about Taylor Swift potentially performing at the Super Bowl. Oregon State head coach Trent Bray joins the program to discuss Oregon State's rough game against Cal in week one. Bray talks about what went wrong in the Beavers opening game loss to Cal, but also mentioned that they were close in numerous situations. Bray gives a message to frustrated Beavers fans and lets them know that losing isn't expected. Bray previews the Oregon State week two game against Fresno State and expects the team to bounce back. Former Oregon athletic director Pat Kilkenny joins the show to talk about the upcoming Oregon vs Gonzaga basketball game that will be held at the Moda Center in November. Kilkenny discusses the baseball team and the significant investment required for the program, contrasting it with the football program, where the funding appears to be endless. Kilkenny says that the baseball program has been funded without any help from Phil Knight. Kilkenny is disappointed with the NCAA for how they haven't dealt with NIL and says that college sports have lost a little bit of it's charm. San Jose Mercury News' Jon Wilner joins the program to review what happened in week one of college football and preview what to look for in week two. Wilner talks about the coaches in the sports that are beefing with one another through the media. Wilner talks about his biggest disappointments in week one and what coaches he thinks could be on the hot seat. Wilner says that this is a must-win for Oregon State and Washington State. If those teams were to lose, Wilner thinks it would be a reputation hit on Wazzu and Oregon State. Punch it audio, the 5 at 5, and much more!
