A bank robbery in Zebulon, North Carolina, escalated into a high-stakes officer-involved shooting in Rocky Mount. The suspect, Willie McGee Junior, robbed First Citizens Bank and fled in a white eighteen-wheeler. Police tracked him down using K-nine unit Koda and surveillance video, leading to a confrontation at a Hobby Lobby parking lot. McGee opened fire on officers, who returned fire and apprehended him. Hes now facing charges including robbery, attempted murder, and assault on officers. No explosives were found in the truck.
