Behind the Power Curve
Update: 2020-02-22
Description
Why did our freedom revolution in the U.S. and by extension the UK, work but the revolution in France fail? In this week's boralogue, John looks at the tale of two revolutions and how ours has worked and why it still succeeds. Some of the things that caused the other revolution to ultimately fail, however, are starting to crop up here and threaten the continued success of our great experiment. It is up to us to keep that from happening.
Did the coronavirus originate with tainted food or is there a more sinister backstory? Joining us is Brandon Weichert (www.weichertreport.com), Manager of the Weichert Report, who points out that there is a military-run virology lab in Wuhan, China that may or may not be a bio-weapons lab. He covers China's tactics with intellectual property theft and coveting of scientists from around the world, both of which could have led to this coronavirus crisis.
How has the coronavirus affected the stock markets, both here and around the world? Dr. Michael Busler (www.stockton.edu), Professor of Finance at Stockton University, joins us to discuss the psychology of markets and his views on how much of an impact the virus will make on global economics.
As a federal bureaucrat, do you have loyalty to your agency and your director, or do you have loyalty to the Constitution? We welcome to the program retired FBI Special Agent David Baldovin (www.theunitedwest.org), who examines the need for reform in government agencies and the inevitable circling of the wagons when one of their own is on the hook for corruption. Fighting the good fight shows who and what you are loyal to.
On this week's extra segment, we play an interview from June 2002 with the now late Christopher Story about Germany's attempt to dominate the EU and competition with Russia to build a new soviet reaching from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
