Bigger Social Security Checks in CA in 2023
Update: 2026-01-03
Description
California Social Security recipients to receive larger checks in January, thanks to the 2026 cost-of-living adjustment. Over one million residents, including seniors, disabled, and minors, will benefit. Payments shifted due to holidays, with SSI distributed on December 31st and regular Social Security on January 2nd. Most recipients get paid on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of the month. While the increase helps combat inflation, rising Medicare Part B premiums may offset some of the extra cash for seniors. However, its a welcome relief for fixed-income households. Additionally, working seniors under full retirement age can now earn up to $24,480 annually without benefit reductions, up from $23,400 in 2025. Checkout Solipillow.com
