Description

With  the latest news that Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will not  take a seat in the next parliament and is prepared to put another name  forward as designate to form the next cabinet, the recent elections have  thrown Bulgarian politics into disarray. While the ruling party GERB  came first in the vote it fell short of a resounding victory and obvious  coalition partners. Bulgarians have also shown a rejection of  establishment parties, favouring new faces and movements. With our  Editor-at-Large Galan Dall, we discuss the electoral outcome and  possible scenarios. Visegrad Insight Fellow Asya Metodieva provides her  analysis about the role of protest votes and the changing political  scene in Bulgaria.
