Today I "saw" plants bowing to the left and then morphing into people bowing to the left, away from God. This brought to mind the first two commandments of putting God first and not bowing to false idols. God wants us to follow these two commandments as He wants to love us lavishly. Jesus warns us that compromising equally between two important identities in our life is not possible as one or other will inevitably take precedence (See Matthew 6:24 ). In the Old Testament, Nehemiah expresses his sole adoration to God with the words, "You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you" (Nehemiah 9:6). Are we that devoted to God?
