Bumbling My Way Through Valentine’s Day 2022 with a Mixtape!

Oh my. What’s this? A package for urgent delivery to me by Valentine’s Day. That’s never happened before.
As it turns out, this was a result of me entering a competition on Bumble, a dating app of sorts, which I have been a member of for quite a few years. When it comes to the dating side, I’ve not had much luck there, but somehow I managed to be one of the winners of a competition run on the app itself … somehow I didn’t think the probabilities should have ended this way, but here we are. At least I’ve got myself something to enjoy this Valentine’s Day Eve, either way!
What’s in the Box?
What’s in the box? Well, another box actually … box-ception!
A boom-box. Haha. Get it? *awkward silence*
The competition was related to making a Valentine’s Day mixtape (#bumblemixtapes), so of course, a boombox would fit the theme exactly. Quite a nice design if I were to say so myself.
The graphics definitely invoke a bright and nostalgic feeling … the whole mixtape idea and the boombox are definitely a product of the 90’s.
This seems to be a clever design by using a box intended to hold two wine bottles, from a company with an appropriately pun-ny name – The Box Office. Bravo!
Opening the box, the message on the lid is certainly one I can resonate with. I’m not great with words … but I’m not great with mixtapes either! This would be super-appropriate, if I had someone to gift this to … The box is packed with a few items …
… along with some more wit in the form of an obligatory “turn pizza box over”-style message at the bottom. Perhaps I should learn a thing or two and upgrade my pun game …
Included is a short message, some labels (how retro!), a mixtape cassette, a box containing a set of Bluetooth headphones and a reusable fabric bag (the latter of which I was not expecting).
