Burnout - the hardest thing about fixing it is that we can be too burned out to do anything about it. There can be so many pressures coming at us from so many different directions. A single event in our lives can unravel us: an accident or health crisis, the need to care for a loved one with special needs, a divorce, an economic reversal. The demands can seem endless and the pressure to hold it all together is tremendous.

Today, we look at both the psychological and medical aspects of burnout. We examine factors, both conscious and unconscious, that drive us - cultural messaging, work culture, family expectations.
