In this MEGAphone episode, we will be continuing from our last episode on the topic of tracking calories. In our last episode we discussed a ton of the little nuanced reasons as to why tracking and counting calories is so inaccurate. We looked at the history of the calorie and agendas that really smart people had along the way from inception to where we are now. We looked at the difference in our biology and how we metabolize and digest different types of food, to the tools we use to measure calories and their highly variable results… We looked at different factors such as our microbiome, the dynamic symbiotic systemic relationship of our organs, or muscle compared to fat tissue… bomb calorimeters… to differences in fiber, fats, carbs and proteins.. and we didn’t even get a chance to touch on things like age, gender, and so many other things that go into our calories in vs calories out equation. 
 
 But now that we have a little taste of the reasons why calorie tracking is so inaccurate.. I’d like to offer some insight to the other side of the argument and why calorie tracking can be useful… and how to make tracking calories useful for your specific goals. We will be shouting out some really solid apps and companies that can help you do this successfully and hopefully after listening to these two episodes (Pt. 1 and Pt. 2), you can take the information you learned, and you can apply it to your individual situation, you can decide how to implement into your lifestyle… the best strategy to match YOUR specific needs, to get you to your desired outcome.
