It’s Christmastime in Lassoland, and in this week’s episode, we’re breaking down the fun Christmas references and heartwarming storylines happening with our favorite characters in “Carol of the Bells!”

With callbacks to Love Actually, Christmas Story, Elf, and more, this episode of Ted Lasso explores the “Sexy Christmas” storyline with Keeley, Roy, and Phoebe, Christmas fun at the Higgins’ house, and Ted and Rebecca’s evening together. While some share meals and dishes from their cultures, others confront a bully in a kind way, and ultimately, they all adjust to the unique nature of their holidays away from home.

In the glow of Christmas, the Ted Lasso characters share joy, forgiveness, comfort, and love as they juggle unconventional Christmases. It’s a lesson for all of us in managing expectations, finding the beauty in the unexpected and unplanned, and opening ourselves up to the magic of being in relationship with others.
