A team from our faculty secured the 3rd place at the prestigious Rotman International Trading Competition. My guests are Prof. Robert Slepaczuk, the leader and mentor of the student team and Maciej Wysocki, a Ph. D. student, who also supported the team with his great contribution and experience. Student teams from our faculty have made a consistent impact in the competition for many years, ranking among the world’s top quantitative finance students. In this conversation, we will try to learn why Rotman is such a big deal in the world of quantitative finance and what it takes to make such an achievement.
