This week, I'm chatting with Ellie Halsey. Ellie did some sterling research on emotional labour in equestrian coaches and her findings are highly relevant to all riders and horse owners. Emotional labour is about the effortful way we all carry and suppress emotions in our daily lives, something equestrian coaches do quite a bit of!

Ellie is a Performance Coach/BHSI and British Equestrian Level 4 Coach, with an MSc in Professional Practice in Sport Coaching. She has been coaching for almost 30 years and is currently an equine lecturer at FE college. She also holds a coaching and mentoring certificate; and another hat she sometimes wears is an expedition leader for Camps International and she's off to Kenya this July!
