Today we have a special guest on the show, Cherie Gruenfeld. Cherie has been competing in triathlons for 33 years and completed her first Ironman triathlon when she was 48 years old.
She is currently the oldest woman to complete the Iron Man World Championships at the age of 78 and the Iron Man 70.3 World Championships at the age of 80.
She holds 14 Iron Man World Age Group titles and 5 Iron Man 70.3 World Age Group titles.
She is the founder and director of Exceeding Expectations, a nonprofit organization helping at-risk kids in San Bernardino graduate high school and further their education.
