Description

Christina Clar studied sculpture and works in the fields of performance, events, installations and urban interventions. She buids spaces with sound and images, using architecture, physical interventions, poetry, and media to blur the boundaries between projected and so-called real images. Collaboration is an essential part of her work: she has worked with artists, performers, composers, musicians, and architects in the fields of stage design, music, performance, and audio/video at Europe's major opera houses as well as alternative venues, wastelands, and the countryside.
The confrontation with her own illness as well as caring for her mother suffering from cancer developed her understanding of body and mind as a path of learning. Further trainings include Contact Improvisation, Axis Syllabus, Alexander Technique, the Gindberg Method and systemic constellations. Parallel to her artistic work she develops music and movement workshops with young people and persons with disabilities in Europe and Australia and follows the training to become a Feldenkrais practicioner.
