Description

In this episode of Coaches Corner, Dave and Cody sit down and talk about a wide range of topics from training to nutrition. They uncover what it means to be a strength athlete vs. what it means to be a strength enthusiast, and how the vast majority of our members at Blended Athletics fall within the strength enthusiast category. Coming from being a strength athlete himself, Cody talks about why people choose strength training as their main form of exercise.

Later in the episode, Cody and Dave dive into how training varies from athlete to athlete, and how ultimately it comes down to the individuals goals. This also applies to the nutritional side of their training.

"If you want to maximize your potential for progress, nutrition is going to be really important, as important or more than your training."

We cannot stress this enough. Eat! Hitting your calories for the day is extremely important for muscle growth and recovery. As Cody mentions, it can be more important than your overall training.

If you have any questions about strength training, get in touch with Cody at cody@blendedathletics.com or shoot him a direct message @saltwaterstrength.
