As a young engineer, Dave discovered that his boss was simply assigning him to random projects that came across his desk...plugging holes in the program to assure the machine ran smoothly while disregarding the interest of the team. From that day forward he began developing strategies to plan his career, to understand what made him tick and to incorporate those into each and every day. 40 years later he has utilized these strategies throughout organizations like Boeing, Raytheon, and some of the most innovative start-ups around the country with incredible success, proving that people achieve much more when they are engaged in activities that they are passionate about. These are the activities that create energy within themselves and allow them to work late into the night without sleep or stimulants, the things that we are meant to be doing.

Dave sat down with Klayton to discuss the importance of discovering these activities within each employee and the success that can come when engaged minds collaborate to bring bigger and better ideas.
