The City of Cape Town is limiting its Dial-A-Ride service as of 8 September 2025 due to operational costs making it impossible to continue offering it on a wide-scale basis. Lester Kiewit speaks to Dr Michelle Botha, chair of the Western Cape Network on Disability, who have brought an urgent application to the Cape High Court to prevent the city’s cuts to the crucial service.
