News:
It is official: Critter Country is no more. Bayou Country is now the name of the area with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The display on the balcony above the new Louis’ Critter Club has been redecorated to a dressing room with musical instruments and a fan mail box. – https://www.micechat.com/399618-disneyland-update-project-switch-a-roo-construction-price-hikes-too/

Some good news for those of you who didn’t want Avatar in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area. Micechat reports that locations for the new Coco and Avatar projects have been in flux. After studying the crowd flow on Pixar Pier, there may not be enough room for an extended queue where the planned Coco attraction would be located. It was suggested to move the Coco attraction to Hollywood Land, which would allow for Monsters, Inc. to be saved as Coco would move into the Hollywood and Dine location. This leaves the Avatar project without a home for now. – https://www.micechat.com/399618-disneyland-update-project-switch-a-roo-construction-price-hikes-too/
The Jungle Cruise has returned from it’s two week refurbishment. We had hoped that the tiger’s stone surroundings would have returned, but they have not. However, both African bull elephants are back, the piranhas are functional again, and overall looks in good shape. – https://www.micechat.com/399618-disneyland-update-project-switch-a-roo-construction-price-hikes-too/
The lounge in the Disneyland Hotel’s Fantasyland Tower has a new name! The Broken Spell Lounge is located next to Goofy’s Kitchen and has a darker vibe, with forest accents and dark colors. Disney did not announce the name change, or put up a new sign, but they did update the navigational signage around the hotel. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2024/10/01/did-disney-just-quietly-change-a-restaurant-name/
While you are stopping into the Market House on Main Street for a morning beverage, be sure to pick up the newest sweet creation. The S’mores Cake Donut has arrived and is made of a graham cracker cake donut, chocolate ganache, and topped with a toasted marshmallow. – https://www.micechat.com/399618-disneyland-update-project-switch-a-roo-construction-price-hikes-too/
A new Disney Parks cookbook has gone on sale, and to celebrate, Disney has posted the recipe for the Celebration Chocolate Fudge Brownies. These brownies were available at the 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. This recipe has just a few ingredients and looks fun for the whole family to create and eat! – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/disney-eats-celebration-chocolate-fudge-brownie-recipe/
