Description

Should you care? As you know the US Congress recently raised the debt ceiling a modest amount to avoid default, and in doing so will decide this coming December what to do when we invariably bump up against the ceiling, again — risking default and potential financial crisis.

So we thought it would be good to break down some of the financial items at play leading up to their decision and other economic subjects that we hear so much about, like the debt ceiling, inflation, and bitcoin. Who better to help us understand than friend of the show University of Houston Department Chair and Professor Department of Economics Dr. Deitrich Vollrath. Hopefully, you will be better informed beyond a news headline, and be armed with more context to speak around these contentious and nuanced subjects.

We welcome you being a part of the conversation, so please leave comments to share your thoughts.

Thanks for tuning into The Show, and let’s start part 1 in the series, “Debt Ceiling and Default—Should We Be Worried?”
