Diabetes Matters: Movement Matters

Welcome to the Diabetes Matters podcast. This new series is all why diabetes matters…because it does! Not just to the 290,000 people living with it, but to all New Zealanders. We’re talking to inspirational Kiwis, sports stars, experts and people with diabetes to find out what matters and why.

Diabetes is a complex condition that affects many parts of a person’s body. The good news is that with good support and a plan of action, there is a lot you can do to live a healthy life and prevent potential complications.

Today we are going to learn more about those complications and how to prevent them.

In today’s episode we are joined by two health care professionals who know a thing or two about supporting people with diabetes and helping to prevent the complications that can happen to someone with diabetes. We will also discover more about the Circle of Care that surrounds and supports someone living with diabetes to stay well.
