Pet owners in Sydneys Inner West are on high alert after a dog, William, became seriously ill from eating poisoned food at Weekley Park. The eight-year-old English cocker spaniel ingested a sausage laced with rat or snail poison, believed to be rat bait. William was rushed to the Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where he was treated for consuming up to six pellets. Authorities and pet owners are urged to be vigilant, as four additional poisoned sausages were found in the park.
