Volume 121 Chainsaws. This week the sounds of chainsaws ring in the ears of our hero. Songs and segments from Count Basie ("From Russia With Love"), John Barry ("From Russia With Love"), and Lionel Bart and Jackie Gleason ("From Russia With Love"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Sarah Sanders; Rudy Giuliani; Rod Serling; Selina Meyer, Kent Davison, Ben Cafferty, Dan Egan, Marjorie Palmiotti, and Mike McLintock from "Veep;" Jimmy Kimmel; Stephen Colbert; Seth Meyers; The Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz;" Nicolle Wallace; Kristen Welker; Michael Cohen; Johnny Friendly and Terry Malloy from "On the Waterfront;" Trevor Noah; Kasie Hunt; John Roberts; Jerrold Nadler; and Matt Miller. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 15 episodes, but there are threats of cancellation.
