Donald Drumpf Theatre Volume 131 Your Racist Friend
Update: 2019-07-18
Description
Vol. 131 Your Racist Friend. This week our hero is pretty blatant about what he thinks about people of color.
Songs from They Might Be Giants ("Your Racist Friend"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Sarah Sanders; Rudy Giuliani; Rod Serling; Helen Lovejoy; Lester Holt; Krusty the Klown; Trevor Noah; Jimmy Kimmel; "Our Cartoon President;" Seth Meyers; Sal Fragione; Jake Tapper; Stephen Colbert and "The Late Show;" Archie Bunker; Chris Cuomo; Kamala Harris; Bill Cutting, William "Boss" Tweed, and Amsterdam Vallon from "Gangs of New York;" John Roberts; Lindsey Graham; Sergeant Trapp and Ron Stallworth from "BlacKkKlansmen;" David Duke; Ari Melber; Anthony Scaramucci; Andrew Feinberg; and Kellyanne Conway. An original radio theatre show each week, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks. Currently airing on 30 or 40 stations around the world, the network has ordered another 15 episodes, but there are threats of cancellation. Anyone who would like to work on a production, or have their work air in this timeslot, should contact info@wgxc.org.
