Sam Urkov is a doctorally-prepared nurse practitioner specializing in headache and migraine medicine who has lived with migraine disease since age five. He currently practices full-time at Puget Sound Neurology in Tacoma, WA, and is the founder of Cascade Headache, a virtual clinic dedicated to helping people understand and break free from chronic, debilitating headaches and migraines. Sam believes pain is not just something to endure; it contains sacred wisdom that can guide us toward better health if we can listen nonjudgmentally to it. He is passionate about working with complex, hard-to-treat patients who have been told they have tried everything (spoiler: they haven't) and blends integrative, evidence-based treatments with a compassionate, whole-person approach. Cascade Headache will be opening in Fall 2025 and welcomes patients from both Oregon and Washington.
