Dusk's Story
Description
'Matrescence' is defined as the process of becoming a mother. It's a word that describes the monumental physical, emotional and psychological changes that a person goes through in the process of becoming a mother.
This transition can be challenging for anyone, but for survivors of sexual assault or complex trauma, these experiences may bring up unique and deeply personal challenges. That certainly was the case for this weeks guest, Dusk Liney.
Dusk joins us on No Place Like Homb to discuss her personal experience of pregnancy, birth and postpartum as a survivor of childhood sexual assault and complex PTSD.
