Hyperemesis Gravidarum
Description
Hyperemesis gravidarum refers to intractable nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, leading to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, weight loss and volume depletion with severe and debilitating physical and mental impacts.
There is no consensus on specific diagnostic criteria and often symptoms are dismissed or minimised due to a lack of knowledge and understanding from peers and health professionals.
On this episode of No Place Like Homb, hosts Larissa and Jess welcome back Yanika Flynn to discuss her work in advocacy, education and support for survivors through Hyperemesis Australia.
Yanika is working hard to help raise awareness and support Hyperemesis Australia. Every time you purchase from her online store, biglittlethings.store they donate 5% of profits to provide much needed funds to Hyperemesis Australia.
