E:27 Icelantic C.E.Ohhh Annelise Loevlie reminds us that no matter where you go, there you are!
Update: 2023-06-04
Description
This is such a fun episode and one that I've been looking forward to recording and getting to share with you all!
Annelise and I have known each for nearly 25 years (whoa?!). We grew up in neighboring small mountain towns in Colorado and spent a lot of our childhood ripping around Loveland Ski Area, keeping up with the boys and having a blast. Her love for skiing expanded when her and Ben Anderson teamed up to launch Icelantic along with a handful of other childhood besties, their company is now 18 years old and is flourishing, yewwwww!
It's certainly had it's highs and lows as they've navigated start up challenges and the corporate giants of the industry but their deep love for the sport and a strong, committed team along with deep community support has been their recipe to keep growing! Anne took over as C.E.Ohhh a few years ago and has been passionate about leading from a balanced Feminine and Masculine perspective by being a strong leader and not being afraid to show emotion in the board room or with her team. She also recognizes the power of leaning into fear especially when it comes to public speaking in a male dominate industry, she knows what she has to say has value so she continues to share her truth which has certainly made an impact. Her tears don't make her weak, they make her human! She lives by "Feel the Fear and do it anyway" a quote that inspires me everyday and in my opinion, are life changing words to live by.
Life is looking a little different these days as Anne has a small almost 9 month old sidekick called Jack and he's become her whole world. She's learning how to balance it all which means keeping a schedule and is proving to be one of her greatest challenges! She's teaching Jack the importance of being connected to nature as they practice thanking the plants and animals and are sure to take time to play in the soil. She will undoubtedly have him skiing in no time as she looks forward to spending many years sharing her love for the mountains with him. This inspires her to take good care of her mental and physical well being so she can be the best version of herself for many years to come. I can tell that he's going to be her greatest teacher and it's an honor to witness her transformation into motherhood, she's such a natural.
Anne reminds us about the importance of giving thanks everyday because if we're not grateful for what we have, why would the universe give us more?
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did and are inspired to pass it along to a friend or five. Also please subscribe, like and review if you feel inspired to do so. It would really help us keep growing!!
With love, XO ~Nik
