Update: 2025-10-16
Description
On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Florida Panthers Historian, Francisco Oporta(@FLACatsHistory) to break down the Panthers 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. The Panthers failed to generate quality offensive chances, and shuffled the forward lines early on. The rush chances against continues to pile up, but Sergei Bobrovsky kept the Panthers in it. One of the changes that did work was reuniting Brad Marchand with Eetu Luostarinen and Anton Lundell, as they were able to cut the deficit to one after falling behind two in the second period. Lundell got assist number 100 in his 300th NHL game. The PK streak to start the season came to an end as Detroit capitalized on a 5-on-3 shortly after Florida was on the PP. The injury situation is only getting worse, as Dmitry Kulikov will be out for five months after receiving surgery on Wednesday morning. The Panthers are going to continue to power through as it'll be a while before anybody comes back, and it starts with a quick turnaround Thursday night in New Jersey. We discuss all of this and more on today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast: Your Team, Every Day.
