On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JakeW_8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday, as the two broke down the Panthers 7-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. The two teams traded breakaway goals, but it's not the type of game that the Panthers should be comfortable playing in as they didn't give themselves an opportunity to set the pace. Although the Panthers took a 3-2 lead in the second period, a third goal of the game for the hat trick for Cutter Gauthier after some frustration from Anton Lundell after a hit went uncalled opened everything up for the Ducks. The frustations for Lundell continued as he went after Olen Zellweger in the third period. Although it was a one-goal game in the third period, the Panthers were gifted two power play opportunities, including a 5-minute major when Leo Carlsson's shoulder hit Evan Rodrigues in the head while Anaheim was on the PP. However, the Panthers shot themselves in the foot with an offensive zone penalty, which they had four of them on the night in the OZ. The Ducks then exploded for three third period goals after that and the game became out of reach from there. The guys discuss their three duds of the game, when they knew the game was lost, and discuss their worry meter with the Panthers playing poorly on the road as they have a 1-5-0 road record so far this season.
