Description

On this episode of Dietitians Discovered, Sarah sits down with Emily Opperman, MSc, RD, a clinical dietitian in the trauma and neurosurgery unit at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Emily always loved research and thought she would get her Ph.D. and work in academia, but she dipped her toes into clinical during her internship and hasn’t looked back since! Sarah and Emily talk about what it’s like to jump into a clinical role when you’re a new dietitian and what it takes to have emotional success in an environment that can push you to your limits. Emily also chats about why she absolutely loves her fast-paced job and can see herself staying in clinical for the long run!
