Empowering mindset vs Victimized mindset
Description
I’d rather live with an empowering mindset in a victimized system than with a victimized mindset in an empowered system. Because with the empowering mindset I’d be able to uplift the victimized system, whereas with the victimized mindset I’ll more likely end up pulling down the empowered system.
“The system” is an encapsulation of everything within our society. From healthcare to education, from the job market to the stock market, from the personal belief to cultural religions. And these systems are built with the same flaws of their creators – us. We evolved into a tribe by defining our tribes based on the similarities we share. In general, we are living in an evolving society that is built from a discriminatory past. So there’s still remanence from the past which targets a specific group of our society. I’m hopeful that in the next few centuries we’ll overcome these prejudges and the system will provide equal opportunities to everybody.
Regardless of the biases I’m going to experience because of the flawed system, I am empowered to prepare myself for the challenges and do my best. I refuse to believe that I am a victim, even if that may appear to be true from a different perspective. With an empowering mindset, I’d be able to carve the future I aspire to.
Some of the ways to build an empowering mindset are to practice different states of flow. For instance, meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork are the tools you have access to at any time, and using these tools you can destress and cultivate calm within yourself. The other tools are listening to music, participating in sports, exercising or tripping on psychedelics, even a simple act of traveling to a mountaintop or staring at the stars at night can induce a state of flow.
