This week on Behind the Bench, the episode begins with a call to all parents, coaches and athletes in regards to coverage. There need to be statistics submitted to MaxPreps or sent to host Carter Eckl via email at ceckl@nevadaappeal.com in order to make it into future stories. Too many sports have fallen by the wayside when it comes to statistic submissions. After that the episode turns to Week 3 of the football slate. We've got a look at Carson's first win of the season and upcoming contest against Spanish Springs. Douglas football travels to take on a tough foe in Sutter in California. After that, a look at Sierra Lutheran's 2-0 start and Dayton football plays a close one with Lowry. This week's episode finishes with some quotes from Carson High and Douglas High School volleyball players and coaches as both the Senators and Tigers have gotten an early idea of what they expect from their squads.
