Fidel Forde is an entrepreneur, proud military spouse, and father of four children. He has combined his knowledge as an empowerment coach, motivational speaker, massage therapist and yoga instructor to help people get back in touch with their spark, kick stress to the curb, and have the energy to fuel their passion with the life they have, even if they're busy and don't know where to start. Fidel's energy attracted me when we first met at a retreat in Washington.
As we age, balance becomes a very big indicator of our physical age rather than our chronological age. Fidel and I discuss the link between movement and mindset, how movement can help each of us to maintain an healthy body and a healthy mind and attitude. Whether that is yoga, walking, tai chi, or biking, moving helps us to stay young and vibrant. Joining others who like to move in the same way you do keeps you social.
I for one struggle with joining a yoga class full of young 20 or 30 somethings because I am not one. I don't move as easily or as quickly and don't want to slow others down. We discuss how this is actually a feeling that permeates into other areas of life. How is your mindset keeping you from living your most vibrant life? Keeping you from moving? Fear of movement will age us faster than anything!
