Dr. Alexander Perelman is a gastroenterologist who graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued an internal medicine residency at Yale School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Perelman's areas of expertise include esophageal disease, inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening and prevention, irritable bowel syndrome, and liver disease. Medical education, endoscopic interventions, and quality improvements are among Dr. Perelman's clinical and scientific interests for research.
